Classes are held at Kicks Martial Arts Supplies on Saturdays from 1pm until 3pm. Guru Dan Rutano is one of Canada's most experienced teachers of the Filipino martial arts. The cost is $55/mos if fees are paid monthly or $50/mos if fees are paid quarterly.
Estokada is a Spanish word that is used to refer to an indigenous martial art found in the Philippines. Arnis, Kali and Eskrima are other more popular terms. Although best known for the use of the stick the Filipino systems are quite diverse and include training with the knife, sword and the staff. Along with this there is grappling (Dumog) and various forms of striking.
